Citizen Juniper Dominguez made a good point and was brave enough to notice the way the Department of Public Works and Highways conducts its projects.
On the closure of Kennon Road, it would be worth considering tapping the help of engineers. Passing through the road is dangerous only during typhoon season and they know that. Authorities should open it now while the weather is good.
Second, roads have been widened and the trees that have been cut were not replaced.
During the term of President Ferdinand Marcos, roads were constructed and planting of trees were done almost simultaneously.
Can’t others do the same? Engineers should be smart in building roads, not only in counting money. — NOEL C. MALLARI, Baguio City
