A Baguio Day message to city residents

This is a time of great uncertainty and anxiety for all of us. But I say this with great pride. The officialdom of Baguio City is working hard to meet each new challenge we face.
The city council is working hand-in-hand with the executive department and with the private sector in crafting better response strategies and legislative measures aimed at mitigating the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic to the community.
Each council member is working at full speed to respond to the various concerns reaching their respective offices. We will continue identifying and providing the needs, resources, and services of our constituents in order to ensure their health and safety.
I urge everyone to practice collaborative thinking. Do reach out to the city government of Baguio for the convergence of our best ideas in battling this unseen enemy. Together, we will get through this.
Be safe, be compassionate, and stay connected to your loved ones through all means possible.
Our battle cry for this year’s Charter Day anniversary is “Angat Tayo Baguio.” This global health crisis has put us all in an extremely difficult test. Be that as it may, we turn towards hope, solidarity, and a shared sense of community. Angat tayo, Baguio. Kaya natin ito!
On behalf of my family and the members of the city council, I send my heartfelt greetings to all of you. Happy Baguio Day! Dios ti agngina kadatayo amin. — VICE MAYOR FAUSTINO A. OLOWAN, Baguio City
