A message to the victorious politicians
Congratulations to the winners of the recent presidential elections.
You were chosen by the people to take the lead in human and resource development. What will you do next?
Consider these suggestions in your administration.
A double action plan ought to be drawn indicating the needs of the community, prioritized list of activities to be done, resource requirements, time frame, and expected outputs in consultation with your staff, co-workers and the stakeholders in a participatory approach.
Be impartial in your decisions. Listen to the clamor of the public.
Your regular presence in your workplace and your appearance in the community you serve must be shown and felt.
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of your projects and programs while being committed in the performance of your responsibilities.
Your term of office is limited, so do all the good things you can to achieve progress of our country.
To the losers, graciously accept defeat and cooperate with the development agenda of those in office. You will be given a chance to govern later if you show dedicated involvement in public service. — PERCIVAL B. ALIPIT, Baguio City
