WONDERLAND OF BONTOC — Long been protected and managed through traditional ancestral land use management traditions by the great ancestors up to this modern-day period, the stone-walled Maligcong Rice Terraces in Bontoc, Mountain Province, as taken from Mount Kupapey, is one of the sought-after tourism sites in the province. In 2016,  a former ranking official of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts recommended to the National Museum to expand the coverage of the National Cultural Treasure declaration of Ifugao Rice Terraces up to Maligcong to ensure better preservation and conservation efforts for the terraces with support from the national government. — Harley Palangchao
