The Police Regional Office-Cordillera arrested 39 wanted persons in the region, of which five were listed as Top Most Wanted Person (TMWP) during the one-week operation against wanted person.
Of the 39 arrested wanted persons, Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) recorded the highest number of arrest with 17 apprehension followed by Ifugao Police Provincial Office with seven arrest, Abra PPO and Benguet PPO with five arrested person each, Kalinga PPO with four arrest, and Mountain Province PPO with one arrest.
Two of the arrested TMWP were separately arrested in Abra and two were separately arrested in Baguio City.
In Abra, suspect Jayson Pagal Sotelo, 33 years old, was arrested in Barangay Naguirayan, Pidigan by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Homer Ragonian of RTC Branch 1, for the crime of statutory rape with no bail recommended. Sotelo was listed as No. 9 TMWP at the provincial level.
Suspect Jonel Millare de Mesa was arrested in Lingtan, Bangued by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Corpuz B. Alzate of RTC Branch 2, Bangued with recommended bail of P200,000. De Mesa was listed as No. 1 TMWP at the municipal level.
In Baguio City, suspect, Juver Baculi Dela Cruz, 33 years old, was arrested in San Carlos Heights Ext., Baguio City for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. Dela Cruz was listed as No. 6 TMWP at the station level.
Suspect Alquin Bautista Doctolero, 58 years old, was arrested in Kayang Extension for estafa with recommended bail of P100,000. Doctolero was listed as No. 4 TMWP at the station level.
In province of Benguet, Felipe Paciteng Munoz, 39 years old, was arrested in Poblacion, Kibungan for violation of RA 9165 with no bail recommended. The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Jorge S. Manaois Jr., Presiding Judge of RTC, First Judicial Region, Benguet Province Branch 10. Muñoz was listed as No. 9 TMWP at regional level. – Press release
