Recruitment for 1,559 enumerators that would take part in the 2020 census with Benguet to cover the whole of the province including Baguio City in ongoing until July 6.
Philippine Statistics Authority Benguet Head Imelda Buyuccan said those who will be hired will undergo series of training that will start on July 20 until August for them to be ready with the 2020 census of population and housing.
The census period will be from Sept. 1 to 20. 
The census personnel to be hired are 1,496 enumerators, 49 census area supervisors, and 14 headquarter clerks.
The minimum qualifications are preferably college graduates (or at least second year college), with experience in survey or census taking, physically fit for field work, willing to work on weekends, holidays, and beyond 5 p.m., able to speak the dialect, and with good moral character. 
Interested applicants may submit to their application letter, personal data sheet, and photocopy of transcript of records, diploma, certification of highest grade completed/year completed to the PSA-Benguet office at 3/F Unique Printing Press, Legarda Road, Baguio City or email to [email protected] on or before July 6.

Buyuccan said the preparation for the census started last year.
After the conduct of the census, there would be manual processing of data such as review of the correctness and consistency of entries in the questionnaire. Then it would be machine processed, that is encoding and machine tabulation of data.
“And then we will have the publication or info dissemination and now we give it to the public for use in March 2021. It would be the President who would be proclaiming the result of the census prior to its dissemination,” Buyuccan said.
She encouraged the public to support the conduct of the census that would assist the government in planning purposes and as a basis for the computation of the internal revenue allotment of local government units. – Ofelia C. Empian
