The Department of Labor and Employment-Mountain Province awarded livelihood funds to the local government units of Barlig and Sadanga.

Sadanga  Mayor Albert Ayao-ao received a check amounting to P343,675, which will be used to fund 15 individuals from their municipality.

Sadanga Municipal Public Employment Services Officer Sharon Agsallong and Gina Angyoda, who represented the Municipal Treasurer, witnessed the awarding.

For Barlig, Municipal PESO Margie Obonan and Val Tubay from the Municipal Treasury Office represented Mayor Clark Ngaya in receiving a check amounting to P1,095,061.08.

The amount will benefit 30 individuals, the Kaleo Munfiaron Association, and the Henpanikib Association in their livelihood ventures.

The assistance is under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program, one of the agency’s flagship programs that open economic opportunities to the vulnerable and marginalized workers by providing them access to grant assistance for capacity building on entrepreneurial ventures for individual or group undertaking. – PIA Mountain Province
