Two students of the University of Baguio are among the topnotchers of the recent Nurse Licensure Examinations.

Joel Patrick Santiago and Marianne Abegail Casimina are in seventh and eighth place, respectively, in the November 2021 examinations successfully taken by 6,086 passers out of the 11,828 examinees nationwide.

Santiago garnered a score of 87.20 percent, sharing the seventh place with Dina Onrada Cardaño of the University of Pangasinan, Nika del Rosario of the University of the Philippines-Manila, Anneka Goingo of the University of Santo Tomas, Mhikel Lacanilao of De La Salle University (DLSU), Mary Rose Melicor of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), and Val Mendoze of the Cebu Doctors University.  

Casimina scored 87 percent and shared the eighth spot with Ricel Dy of the Davao Medical School Foundation, Nicole Fry of Silliman University, Bianca Luna of DLSU, Christ Manlangit of Bukidnon State University, Riza Perez of Naga College Foundation, and Jessielyn Mae Tan of PLM.  

There are 48 examinees who are part of the top 10 with two takers each sharing the second place and third place, six topnotchers in the fourth place, four examinees in the sixth place, 10 sharing the ninth spot and eight examinees sharing the 10th spot.  

The NLE is topped by Kiarra Belle Arante Poblador of Silliman University garnering 89.40 percent.

UB is also in fourth rank as a top performing school having 80 percent passing rate or 64 passers out of 80 examinees.

Other top performing schools for the NLE are University of Santo Tomas with 100 percent passing rate with 58 successful takers followed by Adventist University of the Philippines with 90.63 passing rate or 58 out of 64 examinees, and Mindanao State University-Marawi City with 83.95 passing rate or 68 passers out of 81 examinees.

The Professional Regulation Commission said top performing schools are those with 50 or more examinees and with at least 80 percent passing percentage. – Ofelia C. Empian
