More than 2,000 students from other provinces and cities remain stuck in Baguio City.

This according to Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Baguio Federation President Levy Lloyd Orcales.

He said this is a result of the survey conducted by SK officers from the various barangays, as  requested by  Mayor Benjamin Magalong.

“We need to look after these students in the same way that other local government units look into the needs of student- constituents who are also stuck in various parts of the country,” the mayor said.

Magalong said the city has plans for students and other residents who wish to return home but at the moment, focus is given to returning Overseas Filipino Workers.

He said the city does not have sufficient facilities to accommodate the influx of returning residents, and does not want the triage to be overwhelmed. – Hiyasmin B. Zambrano
