A civic-oriented group is organizing another golf for-a-cause at the par 61 of Lepanto Golf Club in Mankayan, Benguet from March 12 to 13.
Lepanto Gems, Inc. which mounted a successful golf event last month announced last week that its next tournament will still adopt the scramble format as mode of play. This means that each team will be composed of two players.
A female golfer can team up with a male golfer.
There will be champion, first and second runners-up in the class A, B, and C divisions.
Entry fee per team is P2,000 per game inclusive of lunch and a raffle entry, according to the event organizer, which has also mounted various outreach programs benefiting mostly learners in various schools in Mankayan.
Mankayan Mayor Frenzel Ayong expressed support to the event, as he also called on players from other towns of Benguet and Baguio City to be part of the tournament.
Even with Benguet being placed under alert level 1, the organizer is reminding all the participants, including its crew to still observe the minimum public health standard against the Covid-19 infection. – Press release
