BONTOC, Mountain Province – Three organizations and 150 individuals in the province have recently benefited from the Department of Labor and Employment Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).

Amaranth Abalos of the DOLE provincial office said the recipient organizations are the Napua Rural Improvement Club (RIC) in Sabangan with 46 members, Rumang-ayan Organization in Barangay Ankileng in Sagada with 35 members, and the Layad Organization of the persons with disability in Bontoc with 32 members.

The Napua RIC was allotted P497,192, which will be used for their mushroom production  project; P488,000 was allocated for the procurement of water pump for the Sagada organization, and P478,868 for the income-generating project of the PWD group in Bontoc.  

The financial assistance was turned over through the organizations’ respective local government units, which are the accredited co-partners of DOLE in implementing the DILP.

The LGUs will be in charge of the procurement of organizations’ needs.

Aside from the organizations, DOLE also released P2,862,627 worth of financial assistance to 150 individual beneficiaries from Barlig, Natonin, Sabangan, and Tadian.
