Biking enthusiasts will converge anew for the 3rd Ambuklao Mountain Bike Challenge on July 24 in Itogon, Benguet.
The challenge features eight categories: 12 years old and below for Baguio and Benguet bikers; 13 to 17 years old; 18 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 and above; road bike open category; and the ladies MTB open.
Participants will start from the Baloy Bridge along Ambuklao Road going through the scenic road towards the finish line at the view deck.  
Registration is until July 21 with a fee of P650 inclusive of snack, T-shirt, and RFID chip.
Organizers led by Samuel Egsaen Jr. said souvenir shirts will be given to the first 200 registrants.
Interested bikers may register at Toyville, Centermall in Baguio; Shavanel at Km. 3, La Trinidad, Benguet; Saleng bike care services and Arteo’s coffee shop along Ambuklao Road. There will be no on-site registration.
Tire specifications for the bikes to be used are 1.95 and above including 26er, 27.5er, and 29er.
The champion in each category will get P3,000 while the second and third placers will receive P2,000 and P1,000, respectively.
Participants are reminded to be at the starting line before the 8 a.m. gun start for the installation of RFID chips and bib numbers.
