Biking enthusiasts are set to compete for the third leg of the Hari Ng Ahon Bike Challenge series along the Quirino Highway (Naguilian Road) on March 3.

Organizers said the event is set to take place as a thrilling five-leg bike race, covering routes leading to the breathtaking City of Baguio from its neighboring towns of Benguet.

The event will lead bikers through the Gallano Bridge to barangays Bayabas then to Monglo in Sablan, Benguet then towards the Quirino Highway and barangay Irisan.

The route also includes a 200-meter rough road where bikers will have the option to dismount.

The 21.5-kilometer event features open mountain bike and road bike, open female MTB and road bike, male MTB and RB, and age categories 15 and below, 16 to 69, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and above.

Prizes await winners including a finisher’s medal, yellow jersey for overall fastest time, free registration for champions in the next leg, cash prizes for the open road bike and MTB, and trophies for the top 10 in each category.   

Registration is ongoing with P1,300 for early registrants and P1,500 for late registrants.

The first leg of the series kicked off at the iconic Kennon Road, followed by equally exciting stages along Ambuklao Road, Quirino Highway and Asin Road.

The climax of the competition awaits in the form of a challenging criterium and team time trial for the fourth and final stage.

The event is organized by All Out Multisport in partnership with the Baguio City and Benguet province.
