Four persons were charged for usurpation of authority for using a hospital logo in trying to enter the city last Aug. 18.
Baguio City Police Office Director Allen Rae Co said the Baguio General Hospital Medical Center represented by Medical Specialist IV Frederick Mars Untalan filed the case on Aug. 19 against the suspects David Rivers, 60; Nick Narag Sy, 34; Violeta Rivera, 69; and Elizabeth Rivera, 42, all residents of Pideg, Tubao, La Union with city address at Lourdes Ext., Naguillian Road.
Co said elements of Police Station 10 supervising the modified community quarantine checkpoint along Palispis-Aspiras Highway intercepted the van carrying the suspects at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 18.
Verification showed BGHMC did not sanction the use of its logo.
The suspects are in BCPO’s custody.
Untalan said they filed the case hoping the incident would serve as a “lesson to those falsifying documents to enter the city.” – Aileen P. Refuerzo
