TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A total of 471 barangay health workers (BHWs) and barangay nutrition scholars (BNS) from the 43 barangays received their third quarter incentive from the city government.

Those with accredited status received P4,000 and those under registered got P2,000.

Mayor Darwin C. Estranero recognized the contribution of BHWs and BNS in the Covid-19 vaccination to achieve herd immunity target by yearend.

Most of the BHWs were trained to assist city health workers in providing health services.

City Health Officer Henrietta S. Bagayao consider the services of BHW and BNS as above humanitarian call for rendering services  more than their remuneration can compensate.

She acknowledged the city government for giving attention to the health care of far-flung communities. – Larry Lopez
