Five Team Lakay fighters are in the list of top pound-for-pound mixed martial arts fighters fighting for different promotions, based on the sports-ratings.com website.

Foremost in the list is ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio who ranked fifth in the consolidated list of top MMA fighters in the flyweight and strawweight divisions.

The 24-year-old Pacio made his way to the top following two successful title defenses against compatriot Rene Catalan, followed by another victory against former world champion Alex Silva in January this year.

Next is former ONE flyweight world championship contender Danny Kingad, who ranked sixth.

The 24-year-old Kingad improved his world ranking following his dream match with former Ultimate Fighting Championship Demetrius Johnson, who is now fighting with the Singapore-based ONE Championship, the undisputed number one MMA promotion in Asia.

Kingad earned the respect of top MMA fighters around the world after he bravely fought Johnson without being knocked out or submitted by the American, who is the reigning number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world, particularly across all flyweight divisions.

Rising ONE flyweight fighter Lito Adiwang, who is fast becoming popular, ranked 16th in the flyweight division following impressive wins against Senzo Ikeda of Japan in his ONE debut in October 2019 and Pongsirit Mitsatit of Thailand in January.

Former ONE bantamweight world champion Kevin Belingon also ranked 14th in the world ranking while his archrival Bibiano Fernandes ranked second.

The number one rated bantamweight fighter in the world is UFC champion Henry Cejudo.

Longest reigning Brave Combat Federation bantamweight world champion Stephen Loman came next to Belingon in the world ranking.

The 24-year-old Loman has been named the Brave CF “2019 Fighter of the Year.”

He defeated two top challengers for the Brave bantamweight world belt in March and November 2019. He stopped challenger Elias Boudegzdame via fourth-round knockout with unanswered punches in the main card when Brave made its promotional debut in Manila in March 2019.

Loman defended anew his world belt against Louie Sanoudakis of Canada via unanimous decision in their exciting five five-minute championship bout in India in November 2019. – Harley F. Palangchao
