Fifty police officers from the different police units in the Cordillera conducted a four-day Community Immersion Program (CIP) in Dalupirip, Itogon, Benguet as part of their Community Affairs and Development Course (PCADC).

Members of PCADC Class 02-051-RCOR-2023-003 held various activities such as clean-up drive, tree planting, Brigada Eskwela, free haircut, gift-giving, and series of lectures regarding Crime Prevention, Anti-Terrorism, Anti-Illegal Drugs, Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children, Anti-Rape Law, Safe Spaces Act, Anti-Bullying, and Barangay Peace-Keeping Action Team (BPAT) Concept.

The class conducted a cleanup drive along the road from the boundary of Tinongdan and Dalupirip to Sitio Asin and planted 150 pine tree seedlings in Mt. Marikit.

They also participated in the Brigada Eskwela and provided free haircut at the Fianza Elementary School, Sayo Primary School, Blessed His Place Academy Inc, and Fianza National High School; and gave school supplies to 214 students from Sayo Primary School, Blessed His Place Academy, Inc., Fianza ES, Oling ES, and Lawiguen ES.

Food packs donated by Jocelyn A. Suello, president of Mazelle Psycho Metier and Diagnostic Center, were also distributed to the Barangay Peace-keeping Action Team (BPAT) members and some members of the community.

The CIP concluded with friendship games wherein basketball and volleyball were played between the class and the youths.

The activities were successfully conducted through the active support and participation of the barangay officials, members of the BPAT, and other members of the community.

The PCADC is a specialized course aimed to hone the knowledge and skills of PNP personnel in the delivery of basic public safety services to the people. – Mary Ann Manawag Pardo
