Seventy-eight scholars of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority have received certificates for completing Heavy Equipment Operation on Bulldozer, Hydraulic Excavator and Wheel Loader courses sponsored by the Office of Benguet Caretaker Eric Yap.
The awarding was held in a ceremony in Baguio City.
The graduates completed 20 days of training under three qualifications: heavy equipment operation (Bulldozer) NC II with 24 graduates, heavy equipment operation (hydraulic excavator) NCII with 26 graduates, and heavy equipment operation (wheel loader) NCII with 28 graduates.
Yap, who was the guest speaker, said he will call a meeting with contractors and ask them to hire the graduates.
Yap said the Tesda on Wheels or Mobile Tesda is also set to launch this year to help residents of Benguet especially those from far-flung areas to avail of the agency’s free scholarships.
“Kami ay proud sa ating mga 78 na graduates dahil nakapagtapos sila sa kasagsagan ng pandemya,” said Tesda Regional Director Dante J. Navarro during the closing program.
Navarro asked the graduates to encourage their relatives and friends to avail of the community-based training, online programs, free scholarships, and other programs of Tesda. – Press release
