VILLAVICIOSA, Abra – The provincial government of Abra reached out to the barangay officials of the different municipalities of the province by giving them goodies and extending services to them for continuing to carry out their responsibilities as frontliners in the fight against the Covid-19.
Led by Gov. Maria Jocelyn Bernos, Vice Gov. Ronald S. Balao-as, and the provincial board members, the initiative dubbed “Sagutti PGA Kadagiti Dadaulo #TulongKadagitiTimmulong” recognizes the efforts of local officials in keeping their communities safe and free from the C ovid-19.
“It is so gratifying to realize all the efforts and dedication of our local officials in protecting their areas, families, and neighbors from the Covid-19. With this we appreciate all that you have done for your community.” Bernos said.
Each barangay official received a food pack and cash incentive from PGA. Bernos also sponsored free haircut for the local officials called “First gupit after Covid.”
“Hard times reveal true friends, and in the midst of this crisis that we are facing, the PGA has not failed to show us their support and care,” Villaviciosa Mayor Jose Lagen Jr. said.
To date, Abra has one active Covid-19 case. Eight of the nine confirmed cases have already recovered. – Christian Tubadeza
