Benguet is looking for its sons or daughters, who are living overseas and have made a positive contribution in projecting the good image of the province in the global stage. 

In a newly-launched program called Adivay Global Icon or AGI Awards, the province seeks to honor not only outstanding individuals but also entities during the 122nd founding anniversary Benguet and Adivay Festival on Nov. 23.

Nominees must be a living individual or existing organization who have at least five years as a migrant or overseas Filipino worker. Self-nomination is allowed.

In the nomination, the profile of the individual or organization must be attached including basic personal/organizational information and contact details; chronological summary of accomplishments; awards and honors; and the nominator and contact details. 

Nominations, which can be emailed to [email protected], will be accepted until Oct. 30.

Meanwhile, submission of nominations for the annual awards, particularly the Benguet Leadership, Achievement Award, Outstanding Student Leadership Award and the Everlasting Award, is ongoing.

Nominees for the Benguet Leadership Award must have demonstrated qualities in any field with outstanding achievement projecting a good image for the province internationally, nationally or regionally and must be living.

In the Achievement Award, nominees can be living or dead or an entity; have done outstanding action worthy of emulation in a specific field of endeavor, thus projecting a good image for the province and its people regionally, nationally or internationally. Nominees must be a natural born or a resident of the province for at least 10 years.

Those qualified for the Outstanding Student Leadership Award must be a living individual and currently enrolled in any school; a natural born citizen of Benguet; have demonstrated qualities of leadership in any field with outstanding achievements which made an impact regionally, nationally or internationally. 

For the Everlasting Award, the nominees can be an individual or an entity which has voluntarily rendered social, economic, and infrastructure services benefiting the province or two or more municipalities or its people.

All nominees must not have been previously given the same category of award by the province.
