The Regional Social Development Committee (RSDC) endorsed to the Cordillera Regional Development Council (RDC) a resolution enjoining the support of government and the private sector to the tripartite memorandum of agreement on anti-epal campaign.

The RSDC members approved the endorsement of the resolution, which aims to ensure the non-partisan implementation of social protection services and programs in the Cordillera during the election period.

The MOA of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the Commission on Elections signed on March 23, seeks  to ensure all social protection programs during election campaign period should be free from political influence and manipulation.

This reinforces the campaign against politicians who claim the accomplishment of public projects is due to their efforts and initiatives.

“We need to send this MOA to other stakeholders, especially our government and private sector partners. Although tapos na ang eleksyon, meron pa tayong mga darating na eleksyon,” said National Economic Development Authority Director and RDC Vice Chairperson Susan Sumbeling. – Debbie E. Gasingan
