University of Baguio freshman Iñigo Navarrete Anton was victorious in all three races of the inaugural leg of the Seaoil Radical Challenge dubbed as the fastest race series in Southeast Asia.

The 18-year-old Anton was not intimidated by the veteran racers who saw action at the Clark International Speedway on Aug. 26 to 28.

It was a perfect race weekend for the Motul factory driver Anton, who qualified in pole position and took a commanding lead in all the races against a number of well-known names in the country’s motorsport such as Stefan Ramirez de Arellano, Mark Bumgarner, and Jason Chuachuy.

Radical Racing Academy graduate Brian Poe-Llamanzares, son of Sen. Grace Poe, was also part of the grid.

Motorsport Director of Radical Cars Philippines, legendary Filipino racer Marlon Stockinger was proud to say that Radical PH has officially marked its spot on the map as one of the 14 race series around the globe in line with Radical Motorsport’s “Race The World” initiative.

It is a one makes race using the Bri-tish-built radical cars where racers will compete in three legs.

The 2022 season will feature three race weekends with each weekend following a three-day format similar to Formula 1. The second leg will be held at the Batangas Racing Circuit and the third one will have another thrilling weekend at the Clark International Speedway.

“It is certainly an honor to be racing in the inaugural season of Radical PH alongside seasoned ra-cers and I would like to thank my team, Motul Philippines Infiniteserv, my sponsors Parts Pro racing and Yokohama Phi-lippines, the Baguio community and my family for continuing to support me and help me realize my dreams. I am grateful to Marlon Stockinger for mentoring me and for paving the way for other Filipino racers.  I will continue to do my best to make all of you proud,” Anton said.

In addition to his clean sweep in the Radical races, Anton also clinched top spot in the Phi-lippine Grand Touring Championships (PGTC) held on the same weekend using his Honda EK prepared by Mark Young Racing x Cars Unli-mited.
