The Civil Service Commission-Cordillera is encouraging individuals interested to enter government service to apply for the March 15, 2020 Career Service Examinations (CSE) while slots are still available.
CSC-CAR Human Resource Specialist Eleazar Puguon said the deadline of application for the CSE-PPT exam is Jan. 15. He called on would-be applicants to apply immediately to ensure their slots for the examination.
For the Cordillera, the March 15 nationwide CSE Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Sub Professional Levels will be held in five testing centers in the region.
Puguon said although a maximum of 7,800 slots are available in the region, slots may be filled up before the deadline based on past experience.
Applications shall be on a first-come, first-served basis and will be closed any time before the deadline if the CSC regional/field office already reached the target number of applicants, he explained.
Applicants are advised to submit their application at the CSC regional office with jurisdiction over the testing center where they wish to take the test, or at any of the CSC regional/field offices.
In the Cordillera, applicants may visit the CSC-CAR in Baguio City and the different field offices offering exams, namely Baguio City; La Trinidad, Benguet; Bangued, Abra; Tabuk City, Kalinga; and Bontoc, Mountain Province.
The CSC has opened a testing center in La Trinidad to accommodate the increasing number of applicants taking the CSE-PPT in the region.
Applicants must complete the following: fully accomplished application form (CS Form 100, Revised September 2016, available at any CSC regional/field office and downloadable from the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph); four pieces of recently taken (not more than three months ago) passport size ID pictures in white background, showing the applicant’s bare face (without eye glasses or any accessory that may cover facial features), and with hand-held and written name tag legibly showing the applicant’s signature over printed full name; original and photocopy of any valid ID card; and if the ID card has no indicated date of birth, original and photocopy of birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority or the Local Civil registry printed on security paper.
Examination fee for both levels of examination is P500.
The CSE-PPT exams are open to Filipino citizens who are at least 18 years old at the time of filing of application, of good moral character and have not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, or disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs; and have not been dishonorably discharged from military service, or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government.
Applicants should not have taken the same CSE level, either through PPT or computerized examination, within three months before the date of exam.
CSE passers will be conferred either the professional eligibility, which is appropriate to clerical and technical positions in the government, or the sub-professional eligibility for clerical positions.
