Members of the Multi-Sectoral Advisory Council for Transformation and Development that will support the planning and efficient implementation of the city government’s seven-point core agenda were presented during flag-raising rites at City Hall on Aug. 30.

Coming from the public and private sector, the members are: Victorino K. Agcaoli, chair of the Bishop Carlito Cenzon Foundation; Dr. Avelino A. Buban, former SSS Northern Luzon assistant manager; Engr. BoniKane K. Chanbonpin, former Baguio Patriotic High School president; retired judge Edilberto T. Claravall, former city councilor; Edgardo M. Nevada, a renowned local entrepreneur; Arch. Larry G. Placido, former University of the Cordilleras department head; Engr. Gabriel P. Pamintuan, a mining consultant; Dr. Raymundo D. Rovillos, former UP Baguio chancellor; Marie Venus Q. Tan, former Department of Tourism-Cordillera director; Dr. Horacio T. Templo, former EVP for Operations of Maxicare Healthcare Corporation; and Helen R. Tibaldo, Philippine Information Agency-Cordillera director.

City Mayor’s Office executive assistant III Angelina Puzon said the members will serve without any remuneration from 2022 to 2025. The members were chosen based on their knowledge and expertise, advocacy for transformation, integrity, exemplified leadership, and proven record in transparency and good governance.

The city’s seven-point core agenda are environment, land use and energy, climate and disaster resilience, urban regeneration, empowering the youth, economic recovery and development, Smart City management, and good governance.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong ratified City Council Resolution 30, s. 2022, commending Jefferson R. Coronado for garnering multiple awards in the 25th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held on July 22 to 30 at Disneyland, Anaheim, California, U.S.A.

Coronado is a Baguio boy and resident of Hillside barangay. He is an alumnus of the Saint Louis UniversityGlee Club and a vocalist of Deja vu, a premier pop/jazz band in Baguio City.
