Baguio City made it to the official list of 2019 Good Financial Housekeeping passers as certified by the Bureau of Local Government Supervision (BLGS) of the Dept. of Interior and Local Government.
DILG Baguio City Director Evelyn Trinidad said the city was among the 27 provinces, cities and municipalities in the Cordillera Administrative Regional that passed.
The local government units were rated based on the following criteria: most recent available Commission on Audit opinion is unqualified or qualified for the years 2017 and 2018; and compliance with the Full Disclosure Policy like the posting of financial documents in three conspicuous places in the FDP Portal for the four quarters of 2018 and the first quarter of 2019.
Trinidad said the GFH is one of the requirements for the Seal of Good Local Governance particularly in the financial administration aspect.
The passers in the region apart from Baguio City were Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Mountain Province and the towns of Bangued, Bucay, Bucloc, Daguioman, Danglas, Dolores, La Paz, Lacub, Lagayan, Langiden, Licuan-Baay, Luba, Manabo, Penarrubia, Pilar, Sallapadan, San Juan, San Quintin, Tayum, Tineg, Tubo and Villaviciosa, all in Abra. – Aileen P.
