The City Treasury Office reminded taxpayers on the procedures in processing applications and payment of business and realty taxes as well as community tax certificates or cedula and other fees beginning Jan. 2, 2024.

Starting on said date, taxpayers will be required to secure business tax assessment and real property tax statement through the Baguio in my Pocket (BIMP) application or through the eBPLS Portal at www.ebpls.baguio.gov.ph.

Taxpayers who have issues in their business tax assessments or real property statements which cannot be processed online or those who have no record online will be entertained at the City Treasury Office.

“If the assessment request is returned with a No Record Found message, a screenshot must be taken as proof to be shown at the Assessment Area of the City Treasury before they can be entertained,” City Treasurer Alex Cabarrubias said.

Assessment for the 2024 business permit renewal will be done online starting Jan. 2, 2024 through the BIMP.

Alternatively, business permit and real property tax assessments may be downloaded from the eBPLS Portal at www.ebpls.baguio.gov.ph.

The bills/statements and assessment may also be paid online via the BIMP application, according to Cabarrubias.

To avoid crowding at the City Hall One-Stop-Shop, assessment and payment of business permit shall be strictly in accordance with the following schedule by family or corporate name starting: January – A to H; February – I to P; and, March 20 – Q to Z and those that start with numeric or special characters.

Cabarrubias reminded the public to be mindful of their schedule to renew their business permit as those not following the instructions will not be entertained.

Tagged permit, for whatever reason, shall be allowed to pay to avoid penalty but permit will not be released until untagged.

Contractors with bidding scheduled for January, February, or March, but are not scheduled to renew for said month shall be entertained during the bidding month, provided they show the Invitation to Bid which they intend to join.

For the Real Property Tax, bill/statement is now available online via the BIMP application at www.baguioinmypocket.ph. Payees must register first to the BIMP application and follow the detailed instructions on how to request for Real Property Tax assessment.

Payment of cedula, professional tax receipt, police clearance both for local and abroad, working permit, and residential garbage fees will be facilitated in the barangays beginning Jan. 2, 2024.

For business owners however, payment of cedula can be done at City Hall alongside their business permit fees.

“It is respectfully requested from those who shall be securing their Cedula from their respective barangays to be responsible enough to declare their true gross receipts for the year 2023 as the basis for payment. We shall employ all efforts/actions against those who will be found to have intentionally misdeclared their gross receipts,” Cabarrubias said.

He said long lines are already being experienced at the City Hall One-Stop-Shop thus online mode of assessment and payment is being encouraged this early.

Other modes of payment are through inter-bank deposit or transfer through Landbank Account 0222-0015-95 and Account Name: City Government of Baguio.

After depositing/transferring payments, take a picture of the deposit slip or screenshot transfer confirmation and send to email: [email protected] including the details of the property or business being paid.

For Manager’s or Cashier’s Check, payee is: City Treasurer-Baguio City and the mailing address is: Treasury Office, City Hall, Baguio City 2600 including the details of the property or business being paid. – Jess Mardy P. Samidan
