A total of 2,444 beneficiaries in Benguet have benefitted from the second tranche of cash assistance through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers or Tupad program of the Department of Labor and Employment.
DOLE-Cordillera Assistant Director Jesus Elpidio Atal Jr., during the payout in La Trinidad on July 24, said the cash assistance aims to assist displaced workers who did not qualify for the social amelioration program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Atal said Benguet received P21 million for the payout which is now on its second tranche.
DOLE Baguio-Benguet head Emerito Narag said those who received their payout in La Trinidad are mostly working in the cutflower industry, musicians, and families of frontliners at the Benguet General Hospital. 
Each beneficiary received P3,500 cash assistance.
For the second tranche, La Trinidad has the highest number of beneficiaries with 620 individuals, receiving P2.2M followed by Kapangan with 214 individuals, P749,000; Tuba with 193 individuals, P675,500; and Kabayan with 191 individuals, P668,500.
Buguias has 186 beneficiaries who received P651,000; Itogon with 178 beneficiaries, P623,000; Mankayan with 170 individuals, P595,000; Bokod with 155, P542,000; Tublay with 122, P427,000; Atok with 113, P396,500; Sablan with 109, P381,500; Bakun with 97, P339,500; and Kibungan with 96, P336,000. 
Sablan, Itogon, Tuba, and La Trinidad earlier completed its payout while Kabayan and Bokod is scheduled on July 27; Bakun and Kibungan on July 28; Kapangan on July 29; Mankayan and Buguias on July 30; and Atok and Tublay on July 31. – Ofelia C. Empian
