The second staging of the Adivay Golf Cup is expected to draw many of the top local parbusters from the 13 towns of Benguet and Baguio City.

Set at the Pinewoods Golf & Country Club, the two-day tournament on Nov. 16 and 17 will feature team play on the first day and individual play on the second day.

The organizing committee led by Jun Bantales said each team will be composed of maximum of five players. 

Last year, several Benguet towns fielded two teams due to excess in players.

The scoring system for team and individual playsas well as the classifications on the second day event is yet to be announced.

Registration fee has not been announced but the fee is inclusive of cart and green fee, including dinner and raffle. 

Caddy fee is P500 minimum for 18 holes.

Tuba town is expected to defend its title when it clinched the championship trophy during the inaugural tournament in November last year.Team Baguio placed second followed by La Trinidad A in third place.

Last year saw Luigi Paolo Wong being part of the La Trinidad team. He was given citation by the province of Benguet as a true blue Benguet son who played in national and international golf tournaments.

The tournament that drew players back to their roots in Benguet was also a reunion of sort for the local parbusters, who are among the best non-rated players in Luzon. – Harley F. Palangchao
