The hunt for fugitives in Benguet continues.
The Provincial Police Office under the leadership of Col. Elmer E. Ragay arrested anew two top most wanted persons (TMWP) at the regional and municipal levels.
Joint personnel of Benguet police arrested Jhey Cayas Genove, 19, and a native of Itogon, Benguet on Jan. 24. He is listed No. 8 TMWP regionwide for two counts rape.
Genove was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 9 Presiding Judge Marietta B. Cualing docketed under Criminal Case numbers 19-CR-12769 and 19-CR-12787 with no bail recommended.
The Benguet police also arrested Mike Sechico Sullera, 29, a native of Cebu and presently residing at Km. 4, Pico, La Trinidad, on Jan. 28. He is listed as No. 3 TMWP at the municipal level.
Sullera was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by the same court for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 with recommended bail of P80,000.
Ragay lauded the troops for their successful operation and said that the arrest of wanted persons will serve as a warning that fugitives of the law have no place in the province. – BPPO release
