The Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) Advisory Board, led by OIC-President Joseph Rulla, organized a gift-giving event for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the Baguio City Jail female dorm and for city volunteers at the Baguio Museum on April 17.

The BGHMC Advisory Council Board provided 72 gift packs for the female PDLs, containing sanitary pads, toiletries, and blankets, aiming to uplift their spirits, Jail Warden S/Insp. Joan Bacayan said.

Also, in collaboration with SM City Baguio, 33 garbage collectors from the General Services Office received food packs and blankets to support the community volunteers.

Rulla said such acts of giving are regular endeavors of the BGHMC Advisory Board, aimed at spreading joy and support, particularly to those in need.

He also underscored their commitment to community welfare, extending beyond the hospital walls. – Photos AV Solis, Rose Ann Ponce, and Khimber Advincula/PIA Baguio
