The Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center topped the basketball events in the 44-year-old and below category of the 3rd Benguet Invitational Inter-Agency Friendship Games 2022.

BGHMC was tailed by Benguet Provincial Government (BPG) as first runner-up and Baguio City Hall (BCH) as second runner-up.

BGHMC’s Neil Bagaporo was hailed the most valuable player and his teammates Michael Danang and Rommel Pagayon were part of the mythical five awardees together with BPG’s Jovencio Caleño and Rex Kitayan and Roy Simangan of BCH.

In the 45 years old category, BCH championed the event followed by Benguet State University and BGHMC.

Raul Ocasion of BCH was declared the MVP while the mythical five were Marlon Urmaza and Kujak Lardizabal of BCH, Sammy Sibayan and Almon Bokilis of BSU and Brett Garcia of BGHMC.

The Department of Public Works and Highways topped the volleyball women’s side with the agency’s MVP Cherry Atuban leading the charge.

Her teammates Mary Ann Atuban was declared the best open hitter while Aloise Costales the best middle hitter and Cielo Bantiyan, the best receiver.

Commission on Audit came in on the second spot with its own Charity Bagto as the best opposite hitter and Gieselle Agudia as the best receiver, while BGHMC’s Shirley Bengwayan as the best setter and Rochelle Wasit as the best server.

BPG settled on third place with Cerese Tacloy as best server.

In the volleyball men, BPG topped the event powered by Ruel Soltero as MVP while teammates Patrick Depolio as the best setter, Christian Domingo as the best open hitter, Dennis Dionisio as the best opposite hitter, and Jovencio Caleño as the best blocker.

COA placed second with Reiloc Cabading as the best open hitter and Francis Marie Jordan Ibis as the best server; while BSU settled for the third place.

Recognized as best receiver for the volleyball men’s event was Deither Salmasam of BGHMC.
