The Cordillera Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CRDRRMC) approved a resolution formulating the Cordillera support plan to the Department of Health-led Interagency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID) that is now focused on the coronavirus disease-2019 (Covid-19).
Resolution 1, s. 2020 was passed during the CRDRRMC Response Cluster and IATF-EID meeting on March 11 co-presided by CRDRRMC Chairperson and Office of Civil Defense-Cordillera Director Albert Mogol and IATF-EID chairperson and DOH-Cordillera Director Amelita Pangilinan.
The resolution adopts the National DRRMC’s Response Cluster Framework and the organization and tasking of the response clusters for a contingency plan with a four-door policy.
Under the CRDRRMC support plan, there are four IATF-EID task groups namely quarantine, contact tracing, treatment and containment and risk communication which are led by the regional offices of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of the Interior and Local Government, DOH, and Philippine Information Agency, respectively.
The operation of the four task groups will be under the guidance of DOH and will be supported by the CRDRRMC response cluster member-agencies and local government units.
Mogol stressed the importance of every CRDRRMC member-agency in supporting the DOH in the fight against the Covid-19.
