The Criminal Investigation Detection Group and the Police Regional Office-Cordillera arrested 48 wanted persons in a series of operations recently.
CIDG personnel arrested Gefti Bastian Bagsangi on March 9 along Balsigan Road, Baguio City, who was listed as the number four most wanted in the city, after the suspect has been hiding for a decade.
Two more persons were served their warrants of arrest in Asin Road namely Benjamin Tiyad for homicide and Savina Guinawan for estafa on March 10. They were listed as number five and number six most wanted persons in the city, respectively.
Also arrested on the same date was Listen Lawagan Donato for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
CIDG-Cordillera head, Col. Juliet Salvador, said the successful arrests of the wanted persons was due to continuous information gathering and cooperation of the community in tracking the location of the suspects. 
Meanwhile, the PRO-Cor reported the police operatives have arrested 44 wanted persons from March 6 to 12.
Based on the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division record for the week, the Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 21 followed by Benguet PPO with seven, Abra PPO, and Kalinga PPO with five arrests each and Ifugao and Mountain Province with three arrests each.
In the provincial level, rape suspect Rizaldo Amawan was earlier listed as number one most wanted while Raymund Talatal listed as number five was arrested for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Valentine Matias also listed number five most wanted was arrested for murder. – Ofelia C. Empian
