A joint inspection of establishments along Naguilian Road to Bokawkan Road was implemented by the Public Order and Safety Division (POSD) and the Sanitation Division of the City Health Services Office (CHSO) on Nov. 22 to check on general cleanliness.
The inspection resulted in nine establishments being issued littering violations and 16 establishments with notices of violation of the Smoke-Free Baguio ordinance.
Four establishments were issued notices of violation for operating without a business permit.
The inspection team led by POSD Deputy Chief Allan Faustino and CHSO Sanitation Division’s Miller Balisongen spent a whole morning checking compliance of establishments to cleanliness and orderliness.
As a way forward, the team reminded all establishments from Naguilian Road junction down to the junction at Magsaysay Avenue to maintain cleanliness within their vicinity at all times.
Establishments were also reminded not to bring their trash ahead of the garbage collection schedule of the City General Services Office.
