The city government will bid out the construction of the City Hall annex building by April.
The current administration increased the budget for the project from P210 million earmarked by the previous administration to P400M.
The project’s first phase is projected to be finished in two years.
The proposed City Hall annex building is expected to accommodate the offices of city councilors and other offices that provide frontline services.
It will be put up within a city-owned property at Camp Allen that will include the area currently occupied by the Baguio Fire Station, which is planned to be relocated to a 3,000-square meter property of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority at Camp John Hay.
One of the features of the proposed City Hall annex building is the installation of solar panels on its roofs to provide power supply to the offices that will be accommodated in the structure.
The local government is eyeing the implementation of the project by the third quarter of the year. – PIO release
