The city government has announced three more of its big ticket projects are now open for unsolicited offers by investors under the Public-Private Partnership scheme.
These are the Asin Hydro Electric Plant, Cable Car System as Public Transport, and Bulk Water.
The period of submission is from Aug. 22 to Sept. 22.
The Asin Hydro Electric Plants at Tuba, Benguet have been idle for many years now and the city wants to revive it as a revenue-generating asset.
The cable car system, on the other hand, is one of the long-term solutions being eyed to solve the city’s traffic problem while the bulk water project is aimed at addressing the shortage in water supply.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong said these three projects have a major impact on improving the quality of life in the city and the city hopes to undertake them the soonest possible time.
Earlier, the city announced it was accepting unsolicited proposals for the smart mobility and transportation system and the triple A slaughterhouse project from Aug. 5 to Sept. 5.
The smart mobility and transportation system aims to modernize the city’s public transportation system and provide a long-term solution to the city’s perennial traffic problem while the triple A slaughterhouse project aims to establish a modernized abattoir that is equipped with required facilities including a meat laboratory and cold storage facilities that are compliant with international standards. – Aileen P.
