TINEG, Abra – The Municipal Police Station reached out to families at Sitio Sabangan, Alaoa as part of the 30th Philippine National Police foundation anniversary celebration.
The Tineg MPS headed by Lt. Joel Tayaban, in partnership with the 1504th Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB); and the 144th Special Action Company, Special Action Force (SAF) distributed food packs and conducted information drive on various topics to the beneficiaries.
The team also conducted feeding and provided educational materials and free haircut to the children. 
Led by Tineg MPS Deputy Chief, Lt. Jonathan Canilang, the team also conducted information drive on Covid-19 among the youth, through the PNP’s Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment.
Lectures on anti-bullying, gender and development, Project Resistance Education against Drugs for the Youth, rape prevention tips, and salient features of Executive Order 70 institutionalizing a whole-of-nation approach to end local communist armed conflicts were also done.
The RMFB and SAF also lectured on civilian arrest and first responder’s role for the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team and conducted a demonstration on basic self-defense and disarming techniques.
The outreach that aimed to inculcate a strong sense of nationalism and heroism was made possible through the support of non-uniformed personnel Catherine Terredano, Daniel Francisco dela Cruz, and personnel from the Office of Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council. – PIA release
