Baguio City officials commended physique athlete Rommel Carrillo for winning multiple medals in the Natural Bodybuilding Australia Universe held on Nov. 5, 2022.
In a resolution, the city council stated it is with great pride and joy the people and officialdom Baguio confer a commendation to Carrillo who successfully represented the city in the national staging of the event.
Bodybuilding or physique is a regimen of exercises designed to enhance the human body’s muscular development and promote general health and fitness.
As a competitive activity, bodybuilding aims to display in artistic fashion pronounced muscle mass, symmetry, and definition for overall aesthetic effect.
Under the City Sports Code, bodybuilding is recognized as a sporting event where the city emphasizes strong support to its athletes who continuously dream big amidst the pre-sent uncertainties.
The 23-year-old Carillo joined as a contender to the 2022 edition of the Natural Bodybuilding Australia Universe.
He clinched one gold under the bodybuilding category, one gold in classic physique, one silver in the beginner’s physique, and one bronze in the short physique.
The council said Carillo’s outstanding performance has portrayed unquestionable discipline and sports excellence perfected through years of practice and dedication. – PIO release
