The Civil Service Commission Cordillera announced that a total of 54,478 out of 331,816 examinees or 16.42 percent successfully hurdled the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) and 9,942 out of 49,791 examinees (19.97 percent) passed the CSE-PPT sub-professional level held on March 26.

The Cordillera has one of the highest passing rates in terms of regional performance as it ranked third (18.52 percent) for professional level behind the National Capital Region (21.39 percent) and Central Luzon (19.61 percent).

The Cordilllera ranked fourth (21.10 percent) for sub-professional level behind the NCR (23.34 percent), Ilocos Region (21.82 percent), and Central Luzon (21.45 percent). 

The CSC-CAR also  took pride in Cordillera’s top passers at the national level.

For the CSE-PPT professional level, Samantha Lorraine S. Jose, then first-class cadet of the Philippine Military Academy at the time of application, ranked fifth with a rating of 91.10 percent.

For the sub-professional level, Azlemere Kate V. Olegario, a 20-year-old student of the Saint Louis University, ranked eighth with a rating of 89.60 percent.

Jose and Olegario are the region’s topnotchers for the CSE-PPT professional and sub-professional levels, respectively.

CSC said the resulting professional eligibility shall be appropriate for permanent appointment to both first level (clerical) and second level (technical) positions in the career service which do not involve practice of profession and are not covered by the Bar, board and other laws.

The resulting sub-professional eligibility, on the other hand, shall be appropriate for first-level positions only. – Press release
