The Civil Service Commission has announced that the filing of applications for the Aug. 9 Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) is suspended until further notice.

The suspension of the filing of applications is in view of the imposition of the extended enhanced community quarantine in several high risk areas in the country including Benguet and Baguio City.

The CSC originally set May 11 to June 10 as the filing period for the CSE-PPT for both Professional and Subprofessional levels.

The CSC earlier decided to suspend the conduct of the March 15 examinations nationwide until further notice in compliance to President Rodrigo Duterte’s Proclamation 922 declaring a State of Public Health Emergency throughout the Philippines and calling for the implementation of urgent and critical measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19.

A total of 293,845 individuals were set to take the Professional and Subprofessional test in 66 centers nationwide.

More than 9,000 from the Cordillera were supposed to take the exams in testing centers in Baguio City, Benguet, Abra, Mountain Province, and Kalinga.

The CSC also suspended the filing of applications for the June 21 Fire Officer Examination, Penology Officer Examination, and Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination until further notice.

Interested applicants are advised to monitor exam announcements/advisories  at www.csc.gov.ph or the CSC Facebook page, facebook.com/civilservicegovph) or the official Facebook pages of CSC regional offices. – Redjie M. Cawis
