A team from the Department of Science and Technology-Cordillera and Provincial S&T Centers in Apayao and Abra turned over units of Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS (Starbooks) to selected schools as part of the Science for the People Caravan in these provinces.
In Luna, Apayao, one unit Starbooks each were turned over to the Upper Atok Elementary School (with solar panel system) and Malayugan Elementary School.
In Abra, 36 teachers and school personnel from the Abra High School, Alangtin Elementary School (AES), and Batayan Primary School (BPS) converged at the AHS campus in Bangued for the ceremonial turnover and users’ training.
Aside from each unit of the digital library in AES and BPS, a solar panel system will be provided as component of the Community Empowerment through Science and Technology program in Tubo.
