The Provincial Science and Technology centers of Benguet and Mountain Province conducted a Setup Training on Pest and Diseases Management for projects in Benguet and Mountain Province that are assisted by the Department of Science and Technology.
The training was an offshoot of an earlier monitoring done by DOST-Cordillera Director Nancy A. Bantog where the owner of JLM Farms, a Setup Cooperator, raised concerns on pest and disease management.
Farmers from Bauko, Mountain Province and Kibungan and Mankayan, Benguet attended the training.
Benguet State University retired professor Janet Luis and BSU College of Agriculture-Entomology Department faculty member Lucile Mangoy-Faroden were the resource persons.
