BONTOC, Mountain Province – This town is one of three municipalities in the province that was awarded for its remarkable contribution to the promotion of cultural tourism.
The Department of Tourism-Cordillera gave Bontoc a plaque of recognition for its outstanding contribution to the promotion of cultural tourism through the continuous celebration of the Am-among Festival in September.
Tourism Operations Officer II Caren Guinayen received the award during the Regional Tourism Summit at the Baguio Country Club.
Mountain Province received the same plaque of recognition for hosting the Lang-ay Festival held every April.
Bauko and Sagada were also recognized for their Begnas di Bauko Festival and Etag Festival, respectively. – Kayna Casey Shalou Ubongen
