The Department of Social Welfare and Development-Cordillera warned its beneficiaries on the use of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in election-related activities this campaign season.
DSWD-Cordillera Arnel B. Garcia said the DSWD has been implementing several activities since the start of the campaign period to safeguard the social protection programs and services of the agency from politicking and partisan individuals.
The activities include voters’ education through information dissemination and the Anti-Epal campaign forged with various agencies.
Pantawid Pamilya Regional Program Coordinator and Division Chief Fatima D. Florendo said adding and delisting of beneficiaries is solely done by the DSWD through its grievance redress system and not by any politicians.
Florendo added the selection of program beneficiaries is based on the agency’s Listahanan database assessed through a uniform and objective process.
She added the program does not endorse any partylist as being circulated in the social media.

Enacted into law under RA 11310 in April 2019, the 4Ps is the government’s major poverty alleviation program that invests in the health, nutrition, and education of the poor eligible households.
