A hardworking farmer from Bakun, Benguet is the newest recipient of a new house from the Benguet Provincial Police Office (BPPO).
For years, Bobby Tongali from Barangay Poblacion with his three sons and two daughters endured living in a shanty made of slabs, salvaged building materials, plastics, and other light materials.
Aside from being a farmer, he is also an active and dedicated barangay tanod who is constantly involved in promoting peace and order in their place.
To reciprocate his selfless service, he was chosen by personnel of Bakun Municipal Police Station as their beneficiary of the BPPO’s Pabahay Handog Project.
On Feb. 24, after four months of perseverance and hard work and with the help of the stakeholders and other individuals, the Bakun MPS completed the project and turned over the house to Tongali’s family.
“We give not because we have plenty but because we know exactly how it feels to have nothing. Let us be challenged with our present situation and take it as a motivation to strive harder so as to be able to give more to our needy fellows,” BPPO Director, Col. Reynaldo Pasiwen, Jr. said. – Press release
