Junior golfer TJ Farrell and Francis Cuyop topped their respective classes in the annual Baguio Country Club match play while the pair of Paeng Ding and son, Enzo, ruled the 6th Dap-ay member-guest golf tournament, also held at BCC.

The two tournaments, both organized by BCC, used the Molave points for the best ball in the Dap-ay event while each player earned points in every hole won in the match play.

Aside from being a division champion, Cuyop was also the lone player to nail a hole-in-one during the two tournaments. He aced hole 12 on April 21 while in the company of Camp John Hay Golf Club general manager Jude Eustaquio, Jun de Leon, and Mars Garcia.

It was the second ace for Cuyop, who earned his first hole-in-one at hole 12 of Pinewoods Golf & Country Club on June 14, 2021.

Iya Fianza topped the ladies division in the match play while Philex Mining President Euls Austin emerged as champion in the seniors division.

The match play, which saw the participation of close to a hundred BCC members and dependents, lasted for more than a month.

In the Dap-ay event, the pair of Paeng and Enzo Ding scored 130 points for the overall championship trophy.

The pair of RJ Rizalda and Jens Knuttel topped division 1 with 124 points followed by the team of Ely Lagman and Roland Dayag with 121 points and Iya Fianza and Dinky De-  long with 110.

Veteran golfer Mar Bustos paired with Ellerton Dangatan, as the duo topped division 2 with 127 points followed by the pair of Nat Bucag and Ferdie Casasola with 126 points and the duo of Philip Kiat-ong and son, Lance, with 124 points.

The division 3 championship trophy went to the pair of Sevie Oliver and Doy Mercado with 218 points followed by the pair of Quinn Dahilan and Armenio Manangan with 127 points and the team of Tony Boy Tabora and Jun Bacungan with 125 points.

Juanito Co and Pykes Fiesta won the division 4 championship trophy with 127 points followed by the teams of Itong and March Tan and Celso Montalla and Bobby Leung, both with 126 points. – Harley F. Palangchao
