The Department of Health has detected 852 more cases of the Omicron subvariants of the Covid-19.

The DOH said 839 of the total tallies are BA.5 cases 11 are BA.4; and BA.2.75 and BA.2.12.1, one each.

Of the 839 BA.5 cases, eight are returning overseas Filipinos; 39 are from the Ilocos Region, 13 from Cagayan Valley, 47 from Central Luzon, 28 from Region 5, 135 from Region 6, 25 from Central Visayas, six from Eastern Visayas, three from Zamboanga Peninsula, two from Northern Mindanao, two from Davao Region, 60 from Soccksargen, 106 from Calabarzon, 52 from Mimaropa, six from Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, 116 from Cordillera Administrative Region, nine from Caraga, and 182 from the National Capital Region.

For the 11 additional BA.4 cases, two are from Bicol Region, seven from Soccksargen, one from Calabarzon, and one from the NCR.

The DOH also detected one case of BA.2.75 from the NCR and one case of BA.2.12.1 in an ROF. The cases are based on the genome sequencing results from Sept. 9 to 12. – PNA
