SUPER MOMSHIES — A pageant for pregnant moms was held on Aug. 24 at the City Hall multipurpose hall with Atok Trail Health District bet Aimee Rasheed Wallace winning the Healthy Buntis 2023 crown. Atok Trail District bet Aimee Rasheed Wallace took home the Healthy Buntis 2023 crown in the pageant that celebrated moms and their babies last Aug. 24 at the Baguio City Hall.

Wallace also won the Best in Long Gown and Best in Question and Answer awards.

Charlyn Intugay of Asin Health District was hailed as the first runner-up and got the Best in Talent Award, while Pinsao Health District candidate Aurora Pitag was second runner-up.

The other participants who got consolation prizes were Shayne Dacumos – City Camp Health District; Jennifer Navarez – Lucban Health District; Mary Jane Liberato – Aurora Hill Health District; Kira Penelope de Guzman – Pacdal Health District; Alfer Nicomedez – Quirino Hill Health District; Brecelyn Tangonan – Atab Health District, who also won Best in Creative Wear; Ronalyn Kim Ubina – Loakan Health District; Fatima Bangsoyao – Irisan Health District; and Sally Sadcopen – Scout Barrio Health District.

Acting City Health Officer, Dr. Celia Flor Brillantes, said the event aims to celebrate the life inside pregnant women.

Councilor Betty Lourdes Tabanda also gave an inspirational message on the importance of giving birth in the lives of the mothers and their babies.

She stressed on the importance of involving husbands during pregnancy for them to also have a special bond with their babies.

“Every child who is born in this world is a loved child,” Tabanda added.

The board of judges was composed of Soledad Go, Karl Sam from the Department of Health, Troy Vincent Bautista from the Challenge Initiative, and Cris Varon, Jr. from Megasoft Company. – Mileyvonne Tiamzon
