Since Eve’s unforgivable miscue, losing paradise because she wanted more, all the time pretending that her dealings with the serpent would be in Adam’s better interest, the women have kept their peace, waiting for the day to revive the oldest trick in the world – and now is the time, while the men continue to go about their bungling ways.
Three years ago, the election of the first black to the White House was both dramatic and historical. The forebears of the current United States President were slaves in early America, then deemed inferior to the whites, and totally incapable of nothing except menial work.
Redemption at last, from slavery and discrimination. Today however, half of America is wondering if they gave the job to the wrong man, and not to the woman who was his rival.
It seems to be the general perception both in the U.S. and worldwide that (President) Barack Obama is nothing but just plain talk while the woman he eased out, Hilary Clinton, is doing a far better job as Secretary of State, even if she sometimes has a hard time keeping her temper in check if comparisons are made with her husband, Bill.
Here in the Philippines, we have had two women presidents – the first couldn’t cope, and the other was sly and cunning, so it is not likely that we will have a third woman president.
But at the moment topmost authority is the not the target – it is taking over from the men in all other aspects of life.
As the women flex their muscles, the machos couldn’t care less, but the more knowing of men are scared shitless. The women are no longer plain housewives and mothers, they have become revolutionists, seemingly out to save the world from the evil and mistakes that men do.
This is not to say that the women are not into crime. In fact, some women fare better than the men in underworld activities. It is just that the men have made a mess of things, and life has become so terribly difficult, the desperate are looking to the women for salvation.
And because most women are mothers, they want their children to grow up in a more peaceful environment – lesser or zero crime, and violence-free.
And the only way to achieve this goal is to shackle the men and put them in their proper place – in jail, or anywhere where they can do no harm.
I say bully for the women, even as I mouth this with dread in my heart and with fingers crossed. But again, maybe it is time to give the world on a silver platter to the so called weaker gender.
Once upon a time, I truly believed that women were the scum of the earth. Now I realize that the men say that only to camouflage their own frail being.
So is God a woman? I do not think so, but the planet is in shambles, and it is only the Blessed Mother who still cares for Mankind, not wanting to see that the death and suffering of her Son has gone for nothing.
