Interlinked, a contemporary art exhibition that opened in November at the Mezzanine of the Baguio Convention Center will be extended until Jan. 15, 2021.

The exhibition, featuring 34 Baguio artists, was one of the events of the Ibagiw 2020, Baguio Creative Festival.

A variety of art mediums and innovative methods could be seen in this exhibition: brass repoussé, bronze and brass sculpture, clay monoprint, graphite and charcoal drawing, installation art, mixed media assemblage, pewter repujado, screen print, solar pyrography, stoneware pottery, terra cotta, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting, and woodcut, among other mediums.

The exhibition is aimed at showing the range of mediums and the quality of works of Baguio artists since this has not been done before in one exhibition.

It also intends to encourage and inspire young and upcoming artists, not just in the use of varied mediums but also in the approach to subjects that are meaningful and relevant today.

The gallery at the mezzanine is open to the public, Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For inquiries, email [email protected] or text or call Cariza 0956-280-1823. – Erlyn Ruth Alcantara
